Professional background

Project Coordinator - Naval architect

Mechanic engineer (ESEM - Orléans - France) specialized in Fluid Dynamics

Since June 2004 :

Project coordinator on Baynunah program (70m-light corvette missile boat) for UAE Navy, in charge of design validation and coordination of the First Of Class already under completion in CMN - Cherbourg.

June 2003 :

Worker training period in SAMS-C3 shipyard in Barcelona - Spain - to learn pre-preg composite technology and engineering.

January 2003 :

Study and development of 2 Open 60 monohull projects, on the request of experimented skipper. Projects abandonned because of late funding before race event.

January 2001 - May 2003 :

Head of R&D Engineering, then Project Manager in FRANCE HELICES company, in charge of SDS products and surface piercing propellers. In charge of propeller and propulsion hydrodynamic calculations.

National expert on CNPMEM exceptional comittee, in collaboration with ADEME and IFREMER, working on potential fuel savings in professional fishing field.

March 2000- August 2000:

Training period in MAURIC Design Office, working on ship hydrodynamic and stability calculation, tank tests in collaboration with SIRHENA, and study on ship newconcept developments for civil or naval projects.

Since 1998 :

Technical crew on numerous racing boats : mini 6.50m, open 60 monohulls,...

Since 1992 :

Naval modelist with family company VIAUCOM, specialized in sailing boats and more particularly Open 60 and Vendée Globe ships.

On the side...

Travels

5-year non-stop sailing around the globe, from 1981 to 1986 on a 60' wooden ketch home made (sister ship of famous Pen Duick III). Travels all over the world when possible.

Sports :

Sailing on all types of boats. Confirmed funboarder.

Culture :

Reading, music (piano), photography.
Maritime culture in general (archeology, ship building history, black boats....)
